Legacy box-office alternative
The alternative to $1,000/month box-office software.
Legacy ticketing software charges the venue four figures a month and then charges your patrons a booking fee on top. Stage charges the venue nothing. Patrons pay a flat 6% booking fee, and that’s the whole model.
- Cancel the $500–$3,000/month invoice you’re paying right now
- Keep the features — reserved seating, subscriptions, donors, memorials
- Migrate in a week; export your data any time

What you keep when you switch.
Everything the legacy system did, minus the invoice. Reserved seating with real seat maps, season subscriptions, flex passes, memorial seats, donor tiers and pledges, patron CRM, email + SMS messaging, group sales, gift cards, streaming, and multi-venue support.
What you gain when you switch.
A software stack built this decade. Mobile-first checkout, one-tap best-seat picker, real-time seat holds, pinch-zoom charts, embeddable widget for your own site, patron-facing accounts, season pass self-service, and a customer success team that returns calls the same day.
Migration, done in days.
Give us an export of your venue, shows, instances, prices, seat maps, patrons, and open subscriptions. We load them into Stage, wire your Stripe Connect account, and hand you a staging environment to QA. Most theatres go live in their existing season without patrons noticing.
Frequently asked
- What about our historical patron data?
- We import it. Purchase history, subscription status, donation tiers, segments — whatever your current platform lets you export. Your donor CRM in Stage will look familiar on day one.
- How is 6% better than what we pay now?
- On most legacy platforms you pay a monthly licence AND the patron pays a booking fee (often 8–15%). Stage charges the venue nothing, and 6% to the patron. The all-in cost to your community is lower, and you stop paying the monthly.
- What if we sell to a lot of donors who hate fees?
- You can toggle the booking fee to absorbed-by-venue per show. The face value becomes all-inclusive for the patron; we deduct the 6% on our end. Same economics, different presentation.
Ready to switch?
No contract, no setup fee, no monthly invoice. The 6% booking fee is the only money we’ll ever see — and only when a patron chooses to book.
